Thoughts about blogging

Hi,

It’s the final day of the 30 day blogging challenge, it went by super quickly!

I think blogging is great.

It’s a really nice way to share your thoughts and feelings, everyone that I have met through blogging have been so wonderful and supportive. It’s amazing to have a group of people that I haven’t even met in person that care about me, and I love being able to read about other people’s lives and help or support them when they need it.

I feel like people are able to be more open on their blog than in real life, and because of this there is a stronger relationship between the writer and the reader. I guess in a way, my blog is like a safe place for me, because I can talk about everything that’s been going on no matter how big or small, and either way the comments are still lovely.

Blogging also connects people from all across the world, I follow blogs that are run from the opposite side of the world to me, and blogs run literally a train ride away from me. It’s amazing, and I love it so much.

Thank you for reading!

A letter to 13 year old me

Hi!

It’s day 29 of the 30 day blogging challenge, so this is going to be a letter to 13 year old me.

Hey,

So it’s future me here and in hindsight, here are a few things that may come in useful.

  1. Stop stressing out about technology and graphics class, we both know you don’t plan on taking them for GCSE. Mrs R is evil and your parents couldn’t care less about your graphics and tech grade, so there is no need to spend hours and hours on tech and graphics homework, because I can assure you it won’t be appreciated.
  2. Do not even think about self harm as an option. It becomes an addiction and a struggle for years. It’s not helpful and will only make things worse. The lying, the pushing people away and the guilt will ruin you.
  3. Stop obsessing over your appearance, it’s not that important and people really don’t care that much. Being skinnier will not make people like you more.
  4. Enjoy your time with friends and family, when exams start in a few years you won’t have time for anything, and A-levels come next, so cherish your free time and do something good with it.

That’s all I can think of for now.

Thank you for reading!

11:11 wishes

Hello!

It’s day 28 of the 30 day blogging challenge!

I have never been the type of person to do 11:11 wishes, so I guess I’m just going to have to improvise a bit.

  • For my friends and family to be happy
  • A good and healthy relationship with my family
  • Donald Trump to lose the US presidential election
  • No more war or terror attacks
  • Good GCSE results
  • To feel happy with myself
  • Have clear skin
  • Have a successful and happy life
  • My brother to stop hating me
  • To become better at expressing my emotions and not always insisting that ‘I’m fine’

I know that some of these are achievable and I just need to work on myself; as for the more global issues, hopefully with enough time and a change of mindset these things can be overcome.

Things that cheer me up

Hey!

It’s day 27 of the 30 day blogging challenge, this post is about things that cheer me up.

  • Being with my friends, especially Butt Crack, they always make me laugh and help ,e forget about whatever made me sad. They are also really understanding and will happily listen to whatever it is if I need to get something off my chest.
  • Seeing my pony, being with Belle always cheers me up, she’s so cute and just giving her a cuddle makes me feel so much better.
  • Listening to music distracts me from whatever is going on and gives me something else to think about, and listening to upbeat and happy songs will usually put me in a better mood.
  • Reading always helps me think about something else, it’s such a good form of escapism and I quickly get invested in the story rather than what’s upset me.
  • Being with family, they also make me laugh a lot and are again understanding.
  • Seeing people doing nice things for strangers, it makes me feel much better about the world as a whole, especially since there have been so many awful events recently.

Favourite bands/artists

Hello!

It’s day 26 of the 39 day blogging challenge, this post is going to be about my favourite band and artists.

As mentioned in many posts, my all time favourite artist is Ed Sheeran; this has been a long standing obsession for over 3 years now. His songs are all so amazing and he has a beautiful voice. I have been to 3 Ed Sheeran concert so far, and I plan to go to many more.

Troye Sivan is also incredible and I have also been a big fan of his for around 3 years. I found him on YouTube when he did a cover of an Ed Sheeran song. It’s been amazing to see how far he’s come in only a few years, and I almost burst from joy and pride when I went to see him live a few months ago.

Halsey is a recent obsession, I only started listening to her in January this year because so many people had been telling me to listen to her. Obviously I fell in love instantly and I’ve had badlands on repeat since. I was also incredibly lucky to see her in concert in Febuary, she was fantastic.

Twenty Øne Pilots are also up there for me, i think their songs and style is so original and I really like them. I am dying to see them live but sadly I don’t have any friends that live near me that share my love for TøP.

Melanie Martinez is amazing, her style is also really original and she has an amazing voice. Crybaby is such a good album and I’ve been in love with her since Dollhouse came out really. I have been to see her in concert and she was incredible, and I’m so excited to be seeing her live again in November!

Pierce the veil was at one point almost an unhealthy obsession, I listened to them a lot when I was dealing with depression and self harm, I found their music to be really helpful and it gave me a feeling of being less alone in my situation. I still listen to them now, and I really like their new album ‘Missadventures’… it was worth the four year wait.

Alessia Cara has become a fave very very recently, I only downloaded her album ‘Know-it-all’ two weeks ago, to listen to on the drive to Spain. She has an amazing voice and her song are really good! There are a few songs on the album that I’m not so keen on, but the majority are soooooooo good!

Chvrches is another band I have recently started listening to, their latest album ‘every open eye’ is amazing, and so is their previous ‘the bones of what you believe’. I’m really glad I listened to them.

Lastly… The 1975… I have a bit of a love hate relationship with The 1975, I like most of their music, but I feel like they are quite pretentious and refuse to accept that they are in fact a pop band. There is nothing wrong with pop music, and I feel like they sometimes belittle pop music. (This is just my opinion, please don’t get mad at me)

There are obviously other artists that I listen to such as Bry, Fall out Boy, Sleeping with Sirens etc… But I didn’t want to make this super long. This list is mainly what I have been listening to recently.

My zodiac

Hello lovelies!

It’s the 25th day of the 30 day blogging challenge, so this post is about my zodiac.

I was born between the 21st of March and the 19th of April, which means I’m an Aries!

->Where I found the bellow information<-
Element: Fire

Quality: Cardinal

Colour: Red

Day: Tuesday

Ruler: Mars

Greatest Overall Compatibility: Leo, Sagittarius

Best for Marriage and Partnerships: Libra

Lucky Numbers: 1, 9

->Where I found the bellow information<-
Positive traits: adventurous, courageous, versatile, lively, positive, passionate.

Negative traits: arrogant, stubborn, impulsive, indiscipline, confrontational.

Personally I don’t really believe in horoscopes and zodiacs, mainly just because there are too many different types of people across the world to be put into 12 groups. Most of the information on these sites it very general so that it can be relatable for anyone, which is why I don’t have much faith in them.

Dream date

Hey,

It’s day 24 of the 30 day blogging challenge so this post is about my dream date.

First things first, it would have to be with someone that I actually have feelings for and who is nice and genuine.

I don’t want anything super extravagant or expensive, maybe a trip to Brighton and a picnic on the beach. That would be amazing, I love being by the sea and Brighton in itself is a really lovely place. The pier is really fun and is so pretty, especially in the evening; the lanes in Brighton are also amazing to wander around and explore.

Otherwise just going out to explore a woods near where I live, despite how much I love being in my bed watching Netflix, I am quite an out doorsy person. The forest near me has really pretty streams and small waterfalls which are really relaxing and I find it so fun to go off the path and find other streams and stuff.

If I’m being slightly optimistic… An Ed Sheeran/Halsey/Troye Sivan/TøP/Melanie Mertinex etc… concert would be incredible, however that involves outrageous ticket fees, plus traveling too and from the venu. But concerts are my happy place. Although it would probably be a bit of a flop unless mystery male also liked the band/artist.
